I am cleaning out the home of a relative. She has some lovely glass in a curio cabinet. There is a set of 6 beautiful wine glasses. I am attaching a photo of one. What can you tell me about this glass, or where can I go for more information?

Hi, welcome to the GMB. Is it green glass or cut to clear glass ? Look on the base very closely as makers marks are sometimes very difficult to see. If you take a picture looking inside the glass the pattern can be seen. Or hold it up to the window and take a picture as that can clearly show any pattern. Pete.

Hi and welcome the the gmb. :)
Any chance of some close-up shots of the cutting? Could we please have a good clear image of the base, so we can see how it has been finished off?
Meanwhile, please be very careful and gentle with them - I've got a funny feeling they might be something rather good.
Somebody who knows more about this sort of thing will be along and be able to say more.

Definately a good one from that shot i would guess someone like S&W Webb or Tudor in the days when most were not marked . Yes lets see a close up . please jp
-
I was thinking S&W too, but this really top end old stuff isn't really my area!
Can you make out if the daisies are in any way typical of any particular engraver, jp?
Alacarts, we really do need to see some good clear close-up images, from all angles.
We need to know how many sections the glass was made with, details of the stem etc.
But be careful with them - really careful! ;D

Yes and try top nopp bottom nopp and foot!!!! thats all thanks . ;D

The photo file size limit is 125k, so I'll be posting the photos I have separately. I only took a few at the house, but I do not have the glasses with me, so it will be a while before I can take more detail photos.
So, this shows the inside of the cup.

Oh. I can post up to 4 photos at a time. I get it. Here are the last two, then:
Stem
and
Bottom of base

The nopp and foot have me puzzled , will have to get the books out . :-\

The foot has a folded rim?

Don't think so M. I would look at the USA for this I think
-
No, it just looks a little like it in the base shot - perhaps a reflection.
I was just looking up Hawkes as I remember someone saying (Kristi?) on my engraved sherbert, that American cut glass makers also did that leaves and daisy pattern. But I can't remember any other American makers :-[
