Title: identifying a danish vase
Post by: pisumsativum on October 07, 2012, 01:26:59 PM
dear forum people,

Can anybody help me to identify this glasbowl? I was told it was made by a danish, female designer in the sixties. There is also a sign engraved on the back.

Grüss Gott und herzlich wilkommen. Isn't that the standard PL monogram for Per Lütken? In the sixties Holmegaard was rather dominated by men...

Nice, another Austrian glass collector :D -- welcome from Vienna!

I am sure Ivo is right with Holmegaard and Per Lütken -- does the engraved mark look like >> this? (http://www.glaswolf.de/Grosse-Vase-Per-Lue.372+B6YmFja1BJRD0zNzImcHJvZHVjdElEPTIwMTg4JnBpZF9wcm9kdWN0PTM3MiZkZXRhaWw9.0.html)

Pretty sure this design is a Provence bowl ,  as said above, Per Lutken, 1960's design, still being made and sold today - sometimes sold now as Orrefors.

I have several - large and small

Pretty sure the colour is Safir (Sapphire).  See PROVENCE, ARNE BOWL - Per Lütken, Holmegaard Glasvĉrk 1955 on www dot hardernet dot com.
