Bought 2 of these and cannot make out the artist signature. It looks like AVERN? Please Help if you can.
They are both etched Murano Glass and have the same hand written signature, also I do not recognize the sticker on the bottom.

There is a similar one over gold pictured here http://www.pwts.co.uk/pages/Murano%20AVEM.htm. Maybe it is AVeM.

It's a great weight. I've never been sure if it is AVEM or a different maker. I have had a couple and they were hollow in the center.

Allen, What are they usually worth?

Allan, I am not sure, either. I thought the pw was newer at first glance, then I saw the one listed on Alan's site as AVeM and didn't know. If it is AVeM, it is most likely an add-on signature. I've not seen any pws they did that were signed. But maybe they are out there.

I checked my past listings, and found this picture:

According to Sibylle Jargstorff in her book Paperweights, this was made in the 1970s by Fratelli Toso.

Yes, Allan, that is definitely FT. Those thick canes are something I've seen only in their pws. I have had a few with those canes. The loose filigrana I'm not so sure, since many have used it. I looked through my own files, but no luck.

artg, after I saw the larger pictures of your pws on eBay, I do not think they are AVeM. I have seen the label that looks like NR or VR many times, but have forgotten who uses it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it in my files. Wish I had an infallible memory.
