Title: Milk Glass Figural Double Salt...PV?
Post by: Ohio on December 20, 2012, 12:30:50 AM
I've been through a bunch of catalogs (especially PV) looking at double salts with no success. This one is a cherub figure & on one side cup are the initials SV or they appear to be SV. Does anyone recognize what this may stand for? Thanks, Ken

I have no idea, having spent some time browsing.   I am certain it is an S V markings though, but not able to find out what SV stands for.  If you don't have this link, here it is anyway. There is one similar to yours, half way down on the 3rd page. You could try sending them an email or purchasing the book mentioned on the bottom of the page or failing that, hopefully someone on the GMB site might be in a better position to answer your query.  Good luck!

Thanks Otis. Actually I just for an attribution by Siegmar Geiselberger (Pressglass-Korrespondenz) in 2010. The SV stands for Schmid Verreries, Vannes-le-Châtel / Allamps, France. I am going to email Siegmar in case he needs the photo. Ken
