Title: Sister Schmetterling
Post by: Antoinette on December 22, 2012, 02:17:09 PM
 Xmas Greeting Glitterati!!

I wondered if anyone knew anything about this little darling pictured??

Maker?? Value???
Apparently she is uranium but suspect she is "green"
Considering an offer made to me but not sure...

I vaguely remember seeing a sketch of an alternative Schmetterling but now can not find this on the forum... it was debated if the piece was ever made..

Your advice as ever is valued...

THANKYOU GLITTERATI!

 8) off to Tenerife 4 Xmas  8)
But will be online for all responses!!

Have a glittery sparkly Xmas
Antoinette

This is the missing one by Brockwitz.

two images more of 'Fait en Belgique', of which I personally think that this one is nearest to the Brockwitz design, and possibly made by Scailmont.
Up to the present day I've not come across an exact Brockwitz 'Schmetterling' vase as pictured in their pattern books.  :'(

And just for fun a group of Walther Schmetterling, but who produced the smaller ceramic version in front? Another mystery...  :-X

OMG!!!!
I'm in Schmetterlings heaven!!
I love the fait Belgique and had no idea at all how many there were out there!!

I thought Walthers Schmetterlings based on Laliques
'La Pethora' - The Moth!!

Awesome!!! Sending the UK some warmth from Sunny Teneriffe!!

Many thanks Pamela and to all Glitterati!!!
HAVE A WONDERFUL XMAS!!!
