Title: Possible murano vase with encased bubbles??
Post by: lbbuk on January 10, 2013, 08:47:07 AM
Hi there all,

Just wondering if anyone out there could confirm if this small vase is murano or not? and approximately how old it is.

It is handmade, very solid and slightly off centre.

It measures 9.5cm high by 11cm wide.

Hope the following links to the photos work!

Thanks for any help.

Luke.

Hi, Luke and welcome to the GMB.

The vase doesn't seem very Murano-like to me. The colour, the thickness of the glass, the shape, and looseness of the decoration would lead me away from Murano and towards studio glass.  However, studio glass is usually signed, so I'll be interested to hear other opinions.
