Title: Chinese weight?
Post by: Tigerchips on April 16, 2006, 09:54:24 PM
This is my first cane paperweight. The only thing that I've had with canes in it was a Caithness letter opener.

Anyway, after reading through some old posts, I'm convinced that this is a Chinese weight as it has an un-polished base. I think this is called a concentric as the canes are (more or less) symetrical? It has some unusual blobs of white and blue underneath the canes but I have no idea why as it's on one side only.  :o

So is this a Chinese weight or Murano, either way, I love it.

Hi Top Cat,

It's a lovely Chinese weight with very cheerful, bright colours. Enjoy it! :D
