Title: Can you ID this perfume bottle?
Post by: feinladyg on January 16, 2013, 06:31:53 PM
Hi

Another piece of glass for you to look at.

A heavy green encased (?) perfume bottle flat on 2 sides. Very long green stopper. Appears iridescent in certain lights. 5in high to top of stopper.

No makers mark and so far I haven't been able to ID it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ros

Thank you. :) Your perfume reminds me very much of one I have with the same body shape, but mine is ridged and iridised on the curves. It has the same flat panels though, a flat polished base, and the same shaped stopper, although I don't think mine's quite as long as yours.  I *think* mine was made in China or Eastern Europe. It was bought new a couple of years ago from the British Heart Foundation shop. I seem to recall they had several different designs all in the same basic shape.

Thank you.

I'm new to glass and am flitting a bit between paperweights, perfume bottles and murano and have just bought 40 odd pieces which I am trying to ID (serves me right for going to an auction!). So no doubt will speak to you again soon ;D
