Hi,
Thought you might like to see a 9 1/2 Monart basket Norah and I acquired in Perhshire this afternoon.

Hi Alastair, great find! Can you do a shot on a white ground for the catalogue please. I do have a feeling someone submitted one but I have not come across it yet.
I am improving the catalogues now with clickable images and could include a black ground image on the second page. Example http://www.ysartglass.com/Vascat/VasV041.htm - I just noticed that I forgot to include this one on the index page :roll:

:D:shock::D
For a basket, it's actually ok! (please forgive my philistine attitude).
I once saw a huge Monart basket, it was labelled Jesus Brasso.
I (in my philistine way) thought "jesus brasso" was probably what some poor soul exclaimed when they first saw it!

Hi Frank,
Not too good at pure white backgrounds - how do you do yours?
Any way here goes for Monart Basket, shape MH size V:

I just use white paper, one sheet A4 to stand it on and another for the background. It does not leave a pure white ground but I can use to adjust the image colours, I got a wide range of colour casts!
To get pure white I cut the image out of the background after adjustments.
Is the 9.5 inches height?

Hi Frank,
Yes height is 9.5 inches.

Thanks for the effort Alastair, but not to worry I use Photoshop which does this a lot easier than Corel Draw which I gave up on a year or two ago. Generally you cannot get away with the automatic tools for glass. Monart has its clear outer layer and you need to cut to that line not the colour - the line gets lost when the image is compressed.
The images are great, thank you.

Just for accuracy the correct spelling is Braso NOT Brasso (his son got in touch recently)
:-[ Just checked the site and find I only corrected 3 occurences... 6 still wrong :-[
