Hi
Could anyone help with some information on this glass vase, it is double layered with hand painted flowers inside the middle layer, it has like a 3d effect, it is very heavy, any help gratefully received
Thanks

Hi and welcome, Collsi. :)
If I remember correctly these are of chinese origin and have been made rather recently - about 10 years ago or so.
I think there will be at least one earlier thread about them here on board. I´m a bit short with time right now, but in case
no one else does I´ll go rummaging for it tonight.

Thank you so much for the quick reply, if you can find anything it would be a help

These have been around for a bit longer that 10 years, ;) but yes, they're fairly contemporary Chinese glass.

I dont mind where its from, do you know who makes it or is it mass produced as I cant even find a picture of anything similar
Thanks

I believe they were mass produced. I had one myself about 14 years ago.
There was another design produced at the same time - it had big purple and white flowery bits, and a coloured rim. (It might have been green or purple, I can't remember) Those were mostly plates. They do turn up fairly frequently, but I've never found the actual maker.

Thank you at least you have given me an insight to its origin, I still love it
thanks

Loving it is the most important thing about any piece of glass. :)
Now you need one of the ones with the purple and white flowers to go with it. They are quite spectacular.

There was one of these on the Antiques Road Trip or Bargain Hunt (BH is most likely) on BBC this week. On demand should still have it on. They didn't give a maker but it was well liked and sold well. The TV is usually on but its just background noise until I hear something I am interested in. As with all glass, it is what someone will pay on the day so its not a great guide to pricing and we dont have a film crew which seems to make dealers give over 50% discount. I'm going in with my mates filming on their i phones next time ;D ;D
