All I know about this tiny vase is (Nancy) and I'm pretty sure the design it is painted.
It measures less than 2" or 4 1/2mm.
Would like to know the artist and year produced or anything else known.

Could it be Daum Nancy???
I can't read what's above the Nancy, but it doesn't look as if it reads Daum. However, I don't know much about Daum.

It looks like it says Glessiere, so I did a search and came up to a few Glessiere Nancy results. Here is one of the. Hope this helps!

Thanks again for all the help,

If anybody has a keyboard which does accents it might help!
But I think (our) Nancy has identified it beautifully, whatever"it" is.

Where is Mike M he is the nearest we have to an expert on this type of glass ? or better !!!!

"But I think (our) Nancy has identified it beautifully, whatever"it" is." by Chopin-liszt
"Whatever "it" is"...my sentiment exactly. ::)
It is all French to me,

I've looked up glessiere and glissiere thinking they might mean glassmaker or glassworker, but it doesn't appear so, so I think it may be a name. I've had a good old google are there are certainly plenty of results but it may be hard to actually dig deeper. Hopefully you'll get some input from someone with relevant expertise.
@sue - glad to know I'm 'our Nancy'! ;D
-
I do know that Daum is a factory/studio in Nancy, France.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daum_(studio)
Am thinking that this "Glessiere" is another studio, artist at Daum or I could be completely of track.
-
Why bring up Daum?
Just google Glessiere Nancy!
-
Been there, done that!
Still come up with: "Daum Nancy School Glass Vase by Glessiere ".
Glessiere is the question. Should have paid more attention in French class.
Still trying to translate all this.
Such big questions for so tiny a vase.
-
My google does not come up with Daum - we may have a different version. Glessière is a name and does not translate.
-
Sorry, but I really do not know how to reply to this.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I do not respond to a reply on a thread started by myself, I'll get no more emails until I do.
