Title: Sold to me as WMF, Geislingen, Germany
Post by: stapler on February 20, 2013, 08:34:44 PM
No pontil mark on the base. Base is just frosty looking.

If I look through the piece from the bottom, it is clear glass with the coloured bits on the outside layer, but the surface is not bumpy.

So sorry for my description. I don't have the glass lingo to do this piece justice.

:) welcome...just a thought, could this possibly be a large perfume bottle, which would have had a glass dropper in the top? Is there any wear visible inside the neck?

With that semi-matt base-finish IŽd discount WMF....  ???

Greg: Interesting thought about the stopper/perfume bottle but the inside of neck is smooth rather than ground/rough, very narrow and rounded. I can post pictures once daylight returns tomorrow.

Dirk: I had my doubts once I started Googling Ikora and the colours didn't seem right either.  Any ideas what it might be? It came out of a U.S.A estate that had many German items.

I am learning a lot from you folks. This is great!
