Green (slightly pink swirled) ashtray, folded-over rim, 12 cm diameter, 7 cm high.
Lots of silver chloride trails.
Base ground but not highly polished, with a mark I would read as "M.." (but not much more).
Maybe a later Mdina range? - Or another Maltese maker?
Thanks for any help,
Michael

Looks like Mtarfa to me

Thanks, Christine!
I had done a search for Mtarfa before I posted, but nothing similar came up...

It does indeed look very Mtarfa.
The "crizzle" layer effect of silver chloride would have been learned from Mdina and although I'm more used to seeing this in early Phoenician than in Mtarfa, the folded over rim with indents is a similar construction to a Mtarfa one I have (thanks again Christine :-* ), and the mark on the base looks right for the Mtarfa mark.
I've not seen this shade of green before though - I like it.

Thanks Sue -- that shade of green made me buy it :) (though I thought it was recent Mdina probably)

I would think it's earlyish Mtarfa but starting to get a bit more sophisticated. (I may be completely wrong. It's happened before and it will happen again.)
It's "better-made" than the lovely ashtray I have with the folded rim, which is still a bit crude in its manufacturing.
