Title: Baccarat???
Post by: ttttootall on March 03, 2013, 01:13:55 PM
Have identified this as Baccarat by the inscribed word "BACCARAT" on the bust in the stopper.

There is also a bust in the bottom of the bottle.

The bust is that of John F Kennedy.

After much research I have not been able to find any other information on this piece.

Would really like to know more. Please help...

Thank you,
Tony

Hi.  Whereabouts does it say 'Baccarat' on the bust in the stopper? Is it on an edge?

Yes it is on the front bottom edge of the bust in the stopper.

Would still like any information on this 9"inch tall decanter.

I assume it is Baccarat because the word "BACCARAT" is inscribed on the very bottom part of the bust of John F. Kennedy.

There are 2 sulfide busts. One located in the decanter itself and the other in the stopper.

The inscription is very difficult to see and almost impossible to get a clear picture.

Thanks for looking and any comments,

Could/Should this possibly be moved from "Paperweights" to "Glass Identification"?
