Hello there.. I have purchased this opaque apple green vase from an auction. It has a layer of white glass on the inside and a mid century look. I've been told it might be Mdina from the 1970's but have had a lot of trouble trying to find our for sure who made it and its age and value. Would anyone have any information about it? thank you! :)

Welcome to the board. Your vase might be Italian but it's definitely not Mdina (which is in Malta not Italy)

Welcome to the glass message board and yep, from Empoli it is.

Oh Empoli! Thank you both so much for your reply. I've recently "discovered" glass and find I'm getting a bit addicted. I have a lot to learn (including which Glass factory is in which country : ) ). Any other observations on my vase? Do you think it is mid century? Thank you again.. off I go to research Empoli

Sixties/seventies - i guess that counts as mid century...

Ha yes thank you.. I've read something about Mid-Century Modern to be from 1940 to 1970 and Post Modern from 1970 to 2000, with the Atomic Era being stuck in there in the 50's and 60's. Thank you again.. : )
