Title: A quartet of Monarts
Post by: Nick77 on March 08, 2013, 11:44:38 AM
Just thought I'd post this whilst I still have them, 4 rather nice Paul Ysart Monart weights, the back 2 on stands have the labels. If anyone wants more (better) images I have them. All flouresce the same, fairly clear green under long wave UV and a dusty/grey green under short wave, and have slightly grey tinted glass.

Hi Nick I am doing research into Monart glass and one avenue I am researching is Monart labels, would you give me permission to copy your photos of the labels and the weights.

...by the way, has anybody observed that the colour of the Monart Glass label is actually a mild gold, and
not brown ? I noticed this, as the black of the print is somehow "sinking" into the golden coating of the paper,
kind regards Erhard
p.s. my label is on a six pointed star from the 1960ies and has no writing on it
