Title: Lamp-work dog or horse or dorse
Post by: Alsretro on March 11, 2013, 08:22:29 PM
An oddish one to me - I can't work out if this is a dog with a face a bit like a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel or a horse with a swishy tail and saddle. This is 5 1/2ins long and 2 3/4ins tall and weighs 80g.
Got hints of Pirelli Glass pieces to me but any information or questions as to what on earth possessed me to acquire this would be welcome.
Thanks
Alastair

I would say dog, although I like dorse.  It does not look so much like Pirelli to me as it does some of the ones I've seen that claimed to be Murano/Venetian in origin.

but any information or questions as to what on earth possessed me to acquire this would be welcome.
That's easy, you've obviously got the same desease the rest of us do.  ;D

It looks like genetically modifed Pirelli - and you must have had your beautiful lady wife with you and simply been distracted, Alister. A perfectly natural state if she is anywhere nearby!

Phew - I'm not alone.
And Sue - a certain individual has smiled. Thank you  :)

Fascinating discussion, interesting item, but not Pirelli.
