Title: Signature on P/W ?

Hi, I am trying to decipher this P/W etching on the base. The P/W is 2.750 inches tall and 2.750 inches dia. Some of the writing on one side looks like Dec 1987 the other side not a clue. Any help would be appreciated.

You might try to take the signature from a shallow angle.  It takes out the colout & patterns in the glass.  Attached two examples to show the effect.
