Title: Art Deco amber glass pin dish with dove perched
Post by: oyemicanto on March 16, 2013, 09:13:43 AM
Hello everyone
I recently bought this on ebay and its a charming dish.
The dove has a lovely manner about it and is in good detail. The dove looks to have a peg base that has been fixed into the dish.It cannot be removed.
I wondered if anyone had ever come across anything like this before please?
Thanks for any input
Nige

Good luck - it seems to be a tricky one.

Hi there
Thats a gorgeous piece never seen that before.Smoking seemed to be very trendy back in the day but nowadays its seen as a disgusting habit. There were lots of pieces made for smoking weren't there.
Its a lovely piece none the less.
The dove on my tray I have seen as a figure with a peg inserted into a flower frog of a rocky form...it appears on an article on pressglas korrespondez in blue glass.
