I picked up this fun form visiting my daughter in South Carolina a couple weeks ago.
It's well done with fine red spatter covering the head and tail. Looks like the body is cased with pinpoint white frit under the clear surface.
The disc base looks like it had a couple of small labels, just the glue residue remaining, otherwise no marks.
Measures 7" high, 5 1/2" wide adn 3 1/2" deep.
It was too cool looking to pass up.
Any ideas?

Hi, it is worth looking at contemporary Czech among your researches. Nothing definite, but I have seen funky contemporary Czech cats produced in a similar fashion!

I agree with Robert. I had a contemporary Czech glass donkey with fine brown spatter covering its body and with the same type of base. It had a label which was black with a large "R" (glassworks unknown to me).
It's a fun piece :)
