Title: Strathearn? early Perthshire possibly
Post by: chriscooper on April 03, 2013, 05:50:39 PM
Thought at first Strathearn then remembered reading somewhere? having coloured twists usually denotes Perthshire?

Coloured twists were used in al of the main lines through to Perthshire Paperweights. Monart pre-war years, Ysart Brothers period, Vasart Ltd., and Strathearn. They are not a generic marker for Perthshire Paperweights.

Miss- read, of course I should have said Latticino twists.

Hi Joe,

I would say Vasart: I have never seen a Strathearn with latticinio of any other colour but white; So I guess the Tartan ones come from Vasart/Ysart Bros.

No problem I will just list it Strathearn/Perthshire just trying to be as accurate as possible.

Looks like a pre 1978 perthshire PP1 to me.....  Assume there isn't a P cane in the centre, hence the pre 1978.....
