Title: Trying to identify a glass jug
Post by: trellis on April 04, 2013, 04:25:12 PM
Hi there
New to this forum but I wondered if someone might be able to help me identify a glass jug I purchased recently. It's 15.5cms high and has a body formed from a clear interior with a milk white opaque casing. The casing has a faint iridescence- almost impossible to photograph and a rough textured almost sand-blast surface effect and clear green handle to one side. It seems to be more of a flower vase than a jug or pitcher lacking, as it does, a lip. I had thought it might be Czech/Bohemian late 19th century but have been unable to find anything similar. Your advice and thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.
