Title: Possibly Stourbridge or Birmingham?
Post by: bOBA on April 05, 2013, 04:40:50 PM
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone recognised this small vase, circa 10cm tall, as English glass? Nicely finished, unpolished pontil rod mark..... quite carefully made......

My guess would be English. I have this bowl (http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=1840) with similar ribbing threading, though it does have a polished pontil mark

Thanks Christine, did you have your Richardson attribution confirmed, or is it still a question mark? A nice looking piece and I would think from a very similar time and likely the same factory. I am sure I have seen a few similarly threaded pieces on here somewhere....

thanks again for the information, it seems English is likely... I will dig around a bit more ...
