5 inches tall,reminded me of some Stuart pieces in 20th Century British Glass,any help please ??? ??? ;D ;D
-
hello Keith - can you give us a pic of the underside of the foot please, it might help with placing a date more accurately. :)
I don't think it looks like a Stuart piece, in fact it may well not even be from the U.K. - but have a look at Hajdamach's 'C20 Glass' page 116 re the Hugo Masey work that he did for Webb Corbett - the piece on the extreme right. About as near as I can see.
Does it ring, or is it a clunk piece?
-
Paul you took the words out of my mouth it looks a bit like a Hugo Masey vase I had with flowers and plums I believe I passed it on to Nigel a couple of years ago .
-
apparently he was an emigree from Bohemia, so that might account for the influence of the coloured enamel/floral decoration. If it was his, might it have a pontil depression or just a flat foot John?
-
Webb Corbett was the other thought,it goes 'clunk' has no pontil mark and a small 'pimple',the mark on the left is a bubble, ;D
-
obviously not a good day........... Ivo's got cut balls and you've got a pimple .. ;)
-
Try the Sailors Hospital
