Title: Whitefriars swirl pattern ashtray?

ID help please? Can anyone please confirm that this red and white swirl pattern ashtray is by Whitefriars. I have seen a similar patterned dish but not an ashtray. All thoughts either way appreciated John

Hi John, pretty sure these are Japanese and sometimes mistaken for Italian / Alrose.
