Title: Large Green Glass Bowl with Brass Banding and Rough Pontil - Maker?
Post by: Patti3435 on April 09, 2013, 05:46:22 PM
Hi. Does anyone recognize this green glass bowl and rough pontil? Lots of bubbles in the glass. Stands 5 1/2" tall x 7 1/2" wide. Thanks!

This looks a bit like Driburg glass technique????. Dirk can probably confirm or deny it!, if he is around??

Someone rubbed the oil lamp?  ;D

Nope, not Driburg. I think they only used copper and the metal parts are seamless / deep-drawn.
Sorry, no idea for this piece...  :-\

Well done Dirk, appearing, as if by magic, like Mr Benn (in an English cartoon for children!). It pushes the attribution onwards, as does the contribution from Ivo too...

Hi Patti have a good look for a scrawled signature in the rough base . The style looks familiar to me . :-\
