Title: Another day, another uranium jade question about this epergne flute

.......well, I'm assuming its an epergne flute  ;)

following on from my previous post about the jade & alabaster jug and Sue (chopin-liszt) mentioning that S&W did make a uranium jade glass but that it was a little see through / transparent - I would value opinions on this piece. The daughter is holding it for me and as you can see its sort of transparent

so, did S&W make epergnes? haven't been able to track any info down yet

not an epergne shape that I've seen previously Mel......       but doesn't mean it isn't  -  with definite epergnes more often than not the rim shape is some variation on a frill, and they were smaller.    There were often several holders on the one stand - it's always possible this came as a single tube on a stand of sorts.
S. & W. did produce epergnes, mostly during the Victorian and Edwardian periods when these things were popular - although from what I can see they were not remotely like this piece which looks possibly to be later in style. 
May we see the other end please.

Thanks for the comments, I was thinking more Deco than Edwardian I must admit.
Will have to ad some more pics tomorrow, the camera reset itself back to ISO 800 again ( why does it do that?) and the rest are all grainy but this should give you the shape

thanks  -  occurs to me to wonder if this might have been part of a wall fitting of some description - could the glass part have fitted into a bracket of sorts??          Would agree that the shape and simplicity could well mean art deco.

It probably just fitted into a metal base as a single flute. It would stand too far off the wall for a bracket, as it's quite large

yes, I was assuming single flute or the large central one with smaller flutes around it in a simple base although there doesn't seem any wear or grinding to the end to facilitate that.

This is the first piece of uranium jade I've handled that you can see through, everything else is quite opaque and dense it really is a different animal to the other jade I have which in view of the comments previously mentioned made me think S&W

Without putting it side by side with my known piece, I couldn't postulate S&W with confidence. The shade of green doesn't look quite right.
