Hi , This has the Austrian confectionery firm Victor Schmidt & Sohne name upon it.
I think it's Victorian ?
Is there a name for this type of oval cup or glass ? I have tried hip flasks , stirrup cups , toasting cups and many others but with no luck , or did this perhaps just hold confectionery ?
Any help would be much appreciated.
measures slightly under 4" high
Cheers , Dave.

It's probably just a container; it looks like it had a lid

in german it's a Taschen-Becher i.e. a glass for your pocket :)
being far from home can't help with the inscription at present, perhaps later this month. ;D

Thanks for the answers here ,
A Taschen-Becher it is then !
Victor Schmidt became Victor Schmidt & Sohne in 1872 , I'd guess this is from around 1880s ?
Thanks again for your input , Dave :)
