Title: ID help please ruby candleholders? clear rim gold inclusions
Post by: vanmann on June 12, 2013, 10:00:01 AM
Hoping someone may have an idea of origin for these two pieces.Nice deep ruby colour with clear rim top and bottom with some gold inclusions. Body of piece is slightly spiralled. Appear to have snapped off pontil mark, approx 2 inches tall x 4 inches across. I thought perhaps Italian or Bohemian. All thoughts appreciated John

Certainly Italian and possibly Barovier & Toso, although I'm sure similar pieces were produced by others.
