Hi--I have a vase given to me by someone who said it was a noted American glass maker. I don't remember who. Can you help? Ive attached 3 images. Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the board Lorenza.
It does look like a well made piece of glass, the trailing looks to be even and carefully applied. The mark on the base appears to be the kind of mark left when the glassmaker snapped the vessel off the pontil rod, the rod was used to hold the vase as the rim was formed and then the trail added. Known as a snapped pontil mark, sadly it does not indicate any particular maker.
Nice vase though. Can you tell us the height please?

Hello Lorenza - Welcome from me as well :).................. Must admit that I'd agree that it doesn't look like a mark in the sense of how we usually speak of one...... i.e. a trade mark in relief created deliberately by the maker. I don't know that it looks even like the remnants of a snapped pontil scar - perhaps just an imperfection created during the process of manufacture.
Sorry this is unhelpful - presumably you're unable to ask your benefactor to re-confirm the attribution.?

Thank you so much for your reply. The amber vase is about 9-1/2" high. I was thinking of selling it, but I don't really know what to ask. I've always bee in love with its color.
I'll figure it out. Have a wonderful day!
