Title: Same vase as yesterday - better picture ?Venetian ?age
Post by: Joscyn on June 30, 2013, 08:56:29 AM
I thought it was worth reposting about this as yesterday's picture was poor so here is another with the light coming through.  The bottom is not smoked just veeery dirty.
The vase is 19cm high and is almost as delicate as a lab test-tube.  The applied roses (?) made me think Venetian but I can't find anything similar online.  Maybe just not trying hard enough!
As yesterday, I appreciate everyone's comments - you have all been very welcoming!
Yours sincerely,

Please post one item per thread so we don't get confused and no more then 3 or 4 a day to avoid swamping the board.  :) The fact that it's so light might suggest lampwork

Sorry - I am afraid my enthusiasm got the better of me.  Apologies - I didn't mean to swamp yesterday or today!

Just update your own post with the new photograph - that'll put it back on top of the pile. We all have to learn...  :)

If no-one has answered, it's because the right person hasn't seen it yet.

Could it be Harrachovske or Venetian?
