Title: lauscha - albin schaedel? ID
Post by: sawi on July 08, 2013, 03:50:23 PM
hi, can anyone identify this lauscha glass?
the bowl is 16,8 cm high, the carafe with plug is 16,2 cm high and the tumblers (i have 6 pieces) are about 8,4 cm high.
i've seen a very similar figurine without bowl that was described as albin schaedel glass - is it possible?
does anybody know that kind of glass?

many thanks in advance!

this is the figurine which looks very similar to the bowl.
i got this figurine (12 cm high) when i was a child from my parents about 20 years ago. - i think it was in munich.
and i can remember there was a group of 3 different glass-horses.

in this shop i found such figurines described as albin schaedel glass:
http://www.designhandlung.de/g-111/ (http://www.designhandlung.de/g-111/)

is this the same resp. is it possible that the bowl and the carafe is also from albin schaedel?
or is that quite a strecht?

any suggestions about this sort of glass?
i would be grateful for any information about these items!

The Martini glass and decanter look like this set I saw in a museum, by Max Traut.

Totally in envy of it did you say you had six glasses?

Max Traut born 1900, started his company 1919 Brand names Matra Original or Matra Glas, at annual trade fairs in Cologne & Leipzig works were "torn from their hands" by eager customers.
Interestingly there is a catalog from 1933 of which I have one poorly copied page.
If you ever get bored of it can I get first dibs please (although telling you it's in a museum has probably put it out of my price range)
