Title: 1947 Royal Adelaide Exhibition vase - ID = Davidson Pattern No 290/10
Post by: hhome12 on July 10, 2013, 10:56:37 AM
I am looking for information on this pink vase. It has a kangaroo over a shield with Royal Adelaide Exhibition 1947 acid etched into it along with floral patterns acid etched and wheel ground into it. I can't seem to find out who made it.

Yes that is the one thank you. I found that myself as well about midnight last night, It was also in Davidsons 1940 catalogue.
Cheers,

Can we have larger pictures so we can see the detail. These don't blow up. You have 125 kb per picture and I usually find that resizing a high-res picture so that the longest dimension is 700 pixels works well.

The question is now who did the decorating and how was it done. Acid etching and engraving sound expensive for an exhibition souvenir

I shall give it a go. I have placed paper inside to try and highlight the work

That looks like an English rose, so probably done by or for Davidson
