Title: Nice antique weight needing identification
Post by: LesBeatiques on July 16, 2013, 01:18:23 AM
Hello all,

Here's another beauty with wonderful convex canes. My guess is bohemian.

Any assistance is always appreciated.

Thanks you,
Eric

Hi Eric,

Yes, with those lovely canes, I would say Bohemian too. Indeed, from what I can see of the ground, it looks typically Lauscha to me.. But experts will come along and confirm it hopefully.

You were just a tad bit quicker on the draw. Good buy.

I agree with Lauscha area as the origin - it should have a flat base, not too highly polished, and the clear glass may have a distinct smoky tinge.

Thank you all.

I'm sorry I was unable to post more pics due to file size restrictions however Alan you are indeed correct the base is less than finely polished and the glass indeed has a smokey/grayish color - it looks like the pattern rests over a carpet of crushed canes.

Thanks again,
Eric
