Just an after thought my initial thoughts  were  Adam Aaranson in the shop light?

Hello Chris.

I'd be surprised if this turned out to be Adam's.  I have a weight of his, but the signature bears no resemblance to the one on your weight.   I agree the design of the weight is not unlike some of Adam's.   He's a member of the GMB so hopefully can confirm or deny.   Sorry, I can't offer any positive suggestions as to the maker.
