Title: Lack of makers mark. [ Caithness Maydance ]

Hi, did many Caithness P/Ws leave the factory without the makers mark on the base. [ Caithness Maydance  ] or the other possibility with this one is that the base at some time has been reground thus removing the Caithness mark.?

It probably just had a label that's come off
