Title: Famosa LPW in Vienna - I cant find any information ?!?
Post by: sidskirk on July 27, 2013, 11:03:35 PM
I have an Owl Vase in  clear glass and with gold trim that is marked "Famosa LPW Vienna Austria"

I have found some similar vases for sale on ebay - and they says that it is mid century glassware.

I cant find any information on Famosa LPW anywhere on the net. I find it very rare - is this a fake? Or do someone knows anything about this?

Thank you :-)

Hi and welcome to the board!

LPW stands for Leopold Palda (and Wien I guess).
I don't know if they were producing glass themselves, or just decorating bought-in blanks...

On Pamela's great site is a catalogue from 1955:
