Title: Alabastro Bird - Murano?

Here is a lovely pink cased alabastro style bird. 8.5 inches high with clear typical cog style base. No  marks. I think it's Murano - any ideas to maker?

adam, I don't know if your heron is Murano glass or not. If it is, I don't believe you'll be able to find the maker. I don't believe the glass is alabastro, but some other glass that resembles it. I read one time that you won't see alabastro cased because of the incompatibility of glasses. I don't know if it is true or not, since one can't believe things written on the internet.

I've seen many things on cog type bases, but the base on yours is different than the ones I've seen. I'm afraid I can't be of any help here.
