I found a pair of Bells while cleaning up the attic. From what I remember of the story in regards to their origin, they were the product of some great great grandfather of mine who was Denmark. If the last name would be helpful, I can try and find it.
Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the board. Can we have pictures taken in daylight against a plain, preferably white, background, as it almost impossible to discern the colour
We also prefer that you upload your pictures directly to the board so they remain as a reference and don't disappear. Resizing a high res pic so that the longest dimension is about 700 pixels usually works

Could also be English or Bohemian, large bells were known as 'wedding bells' as they,so I've read somewhere, given as presents at weddings, the handle looks like it might be uranium glass, have a few myself, ;D ;D

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the comment. Clearly I need to read up on what all that means!

There is a book on glass bells: see Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/books/dp/0764312650), written by A A Trinidad, who has posted here before, but probably some time ago. Perhaps a mod, or someone else, can give him a prod?
Another by him on American Glass Bells (http://www.amazon.com/American-Glass-Bells-A-A-Trinidad/dp/0764334174/ref=pd_luc_mrairec_01_02_t_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and one called Collectible Bells: Treasures of Sight and Sound (http://www.amazon.com/Collectble-Bells-Treasures-Schiffer-Collectors/dp/0764305557/ref=pd_luc_mrairec_01_03_t_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1), but I see this is dated 1998.
To anyone who collects them, fill yer boots! :)

Hey Guys,
Thanks so much! I am reading up as we speak. Who would have thought glass could be this diverse. I suppose it makes sense, just never thought about it before!
