Title: Could this be a Mexcian decanter? ID help

I was recently given this piece and haven't a clue about what it is or from where it may have come. Would appreciate any help identifying it. A friend thinks it could be Mexican. It's a little over 9 inches tall with the stopper in. Thanks so much for any clues!

I think it could be as you suggest. It could also be Spanish recycled - but there is little to tell them apart. In any case, recycled glass, made recently and not finished - so cheap and cheerful.
