There are an awful lot of unmarked glass lions (in several variant forms) currently appearing on eBay, all in remarkably good condition, sometimes multiple lots from one seller, and often multiple lots in a whole range of different colours (colours that were never associated with genuine antique examples from any manufacturer).

Might it be that modern reproductions or lookee-likees are finding their way onto the market perhaps?

"Caveat emptor".

Fred.

Thanks Fred, there is a lot of wear and tear on these so I'm hoping they're originals, ;D ;D

Keith

I would say yours are originals but pretty sure they were not made by John Derbyshire like the larger lions. I still believe your lions are still maker unknown but still English and Victorian.

Summit Glass of the USA made many similar lions in lots of colours but yours are not Summit
