A substantial glass lamp base in Art Deco style, the underside of the base rim marked with raised PAT. NO. 97011. Height 25 cm - 9 3/4"; diameter: 15 cm - 6"; weight over 1.2 kg.
Rich dark burgundy red colour (which looks bright red with the camera flash). The colour appears to be some type of paint finish applied internally (now flaking slightly inside the base rim).

A search for the patent details on Espacenet.com has proved unfruitful - can any kind GMB member provide more details of the patentee / manufacturer / date of patent etc, Please?
