Title: Sulphide of a flower bouquet ID
Post by: marc on September 03, 2013, 10:56:50 AM
Hi all,
Can anybody give me any info about this weight?
It has concave polished base with worn rim.

Many thanks.

I'm sorry, I repeated a picture, add the correct.

Best regards.

Hi.

It is quite well made, but my feeling is that it is from Belgium or the Alsace region. It doesn't look like the version of the sulphide that Paul Ysart used.

Hi Alan,

I did not know the Paul Ysart "Basket of Flowers" sulphide paperweight, is very nice.
I appreciate your help a lot, many thanks.

Marc.

Hi

I have attached an image below for anyone unfamiliar with the Paul Ysart version.

And please note that the Paul Ysart versions (not too many known) are (probably) all coloured differently in at least the flower portions.
