I am sure these have been on the board, but I cannot remember what they are...
Chinese from several decades ago? Italian 1970s?
They come in two different shapes, here is the more common one:

Sometimes I see 5 or 6 of those on one fleamarket, so they cannot be very old (and must be mass-produced).
All have a ground unpolished rim, a moulded base, and the layers of glass are not evenly thick.
Mine is 18 cm high, and the less commonly seen shape.
As I wonder for ages what they are I am glad for any input! :)

Romanian sounds very reasonable...
I had even thought Oberglas for these, as they are so abundant here in Austria (I see more of them than I see of the cheapest Ikea vases).
Still not a single one with a label.
I wonder from which period they are; 1960s? 70s? (I don't think they are very recent, neither very old).
I have seen them sold as Murano, Art Deco Bohemian, German...
There was one on ebay.de recently described as Galliano Ferro (or similar), at a price of several hundred Euro ;D

And I found this lamp base on ebay, which (if the brass fixture is original) makes me wonder if these pieces may be older than I had thought:

Hi Michael,
I´m fairly sure the lamp-base is by Krasno Reich and possibly also a lot of the vases. Some
years ago I saw two in the exact colour scheme like the lampbase with an intact Krasno
sticker.
They may appear a bit garish or simple, but I like them. I think they are too skilled for
romanian output - thin-walled with at least three layers... :)
edit: great to see link2, because I never saw that shape with the colours like the lamp-base

And it would explain (once again, thinking of my Ikora style lamp bases) the abundance of these vases in Austria, considering that Reich/Krasno was based here.
They must have been extremely popular, there is not one fleamarket or carboot sale where I don't see at least one of them...
You are right that they are nicely made, thin glass etc., just the unpolished rim was different to my other "Bohemian" pre WWII pieces.
I guess date of production should be somewhere between the 1930s and 1950s?

Possibly the rim finish is a concession made to the price. As their huge number suggests these must have
been the ancestors of nowadays´ TKMaxx pieces :- ;D
