Hi, I need some help in identifying this bowl, it's 174mm dia at the rim and 95mm tall, the oval cuts are clear and the oblong ones are etched, and the base is polished flat, any help is much appreciated, thanks Rich

Hi,
Anybody got an idea :),
Thanks Rich

Hi Rich, welcome to the board. The board's a bit quiet at the moment, so please just bear with us whilst folks get a chance to take a peek at your bowl. Not everyone visits every day, so it may take a while to identify for you.

I think it's from Germany, 60s, 70s, VEB Glaswerk Harz-Kristall Derenburg, GDR, but I can't find a similar pattern.

That is brilliant, thank you much. I have a vase in approximately the same pattern which escaped iden tification for years - it now has a place!

I'll continue looking for a reference. I saw glass like this several times at ebay's, but ebay is a reference only on rare occasions. The label shows a witch on a broom, and the firm is spelled exactly "HARZKRISTALL".
