Title: ID needed for 1940-1960 Serving Bowl Set
Post by: wjweese on September 11, 2013, 06:06:58 PM
I thought this would be an easy ID - however - here I am three days later with no idea of it origin. I have found several that look close but seem to have and extra triange (that is filled in) in the pattern at the base of the bowl. I have photographed only one of the three bowls of the set.  I sure hope this is recongnized by someone. Thank you for all your help.

Thank you Rose for the reply: Here is a link to the one I keep finding with the extra triangle http://www.ebay.com/itm/LARGE-Hazel-Atlas-Diamond-Arches-Clear-Glass-Ruffled-Serving-Bowl-Great-Shape-/251341571712?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a85200680 and then there is the one I am looking for. Mine has 10 sides while the Hazel Atlas has 8 sides, they have different patterns in the base and the Hazel Atlas has the second triangle pattern in the base. Sure hope this helps as I can not find this bowl in any of my books and there are about 100 of them that I have looked through. Sure hope this helps

A suggestion...you might wish to post this to the chataboutdg Board as its primarily a U.S. glass board whereas this board is primarily European glass. URL is below.
