Title: Two interesting pieces
Post by: BobKegeles on September 12, 2013, 04:24:01 PM
Here are two that I'm curious about.

I no longer own either, in fact have sold and shipped them already, but am curious none the less. Or to put it another way, how badly did I screw up lol.

One, the one with big flowers, I assumed was un-named American Mid-West (Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana etc.).

The other that I defined as "long (or untrimmed) Millefiori" I had no idea.
This one did have a number hand scratched/etched on bottom 2/30-137

Any guesses?

Hi Bob

I can't help with the first weight but the second is a Murano.

Best regards

Both Murano, I have the first ones twin here with a label for G Hardy Lido, Venetian art glass still attached.
They were a 1950's company importing Murano and Scandinavian glass

Nick, The "Hardy" label referred to is now known to be Hans Geismar, not George Hardy.
