Title: Caithness?
Post by: BobKegeles on September 15, 2013, 10:59:32 PM
I could have sworn this is an inexpensive  Caithness, but can't find anything close.

I may however not be looking at the right places.

Looks a bit like the ROX paperweights, issued in 2003 in several colour combinations - see here for red&blue (http://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/cms/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=3655&category_id=155&keyword=rox&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=6).

LMAO

You got it, right on the money. This is even a red/blue version, so you really nailed it, as usual.

I was positioning it upside down, thinking the smooth side was the bottom, and it was a 5 sided pyramid-ish shape with a nicely textured finish.

It makes sooooo much more sense the way it's pictured on the Scotlands Glass page, you can see the swirls of color so much better through the smooth viewing window, versus the roughened glass.

Knocking my head (oh so gently) against my desk, lol.

Thank you,

Bob.
