Hello all.
I'm a new collector of Scandinavian glass.
I've recently bought this piece (bowl) at a flea market - not sure it is Scandinavian, although the proprietor said it was. Signed but I can't fully read the signature, and I think dated 1955, but might be 1985 or might not be a date at all !
Can anyone well me anything about it ? Maker, designer, what the signature reads, when it might have been made.
I particularly like it and it displays beautifully, but want to know more about it so I can keep my eyes open for similar pieces by the same firm, designer, period etc
I've attached a few pics and I'd be very grateful if anyone could help

Hello and welcome to the GMB. Could this be a studio piece by Paul Musgrove..?
-
Might be worth asking him, he can be contacted via his website here: http://musworks.co.uk/2013/new-glass-3/

Thank you both - I will try him !

Very similar to a number of Kosta Boda pieces but I agree with the Paul Musgrove attribution. Always remember glass artists try out making other successful designs. I have a Michael Hook(an Australian artist) bowl that I would have been 99.99999% was a Holmegaard Michael Bang piece - and I have heaps of Danish glass.

Hi there Novice collector, what a lovely bowl. It is Paul Musgrove and here is a useful link to some of his other glass art.

He has since gone into the printing world and there are some very interesting threads about him if you Google his name.

Thanks all.
I mailed Paul directly and he kindly took a look at some photo's
He confirmed it is one of his, from around 85/86 when he was at the original Glassworks premises in Edinburgh, before they moved out to Musselburgh.
Very pleased I bought it, and thanks to everyone in this very friendly message board for their input for their help.
