Hi All,
I have a very pretty ribbed satin glass, silver overlay pitcher with a pebbled bottom. Heavy 4 lbs for it's 8" size. The daisy motif suggests, to me at least, Art Nouveau. I'm hoping someone can help me identify the maker. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Nancy, I just been browsing on your behalf and came across this site that shows a perfume bottle (half way down the page), that does have similar features when referring to the frosted silk glass and of course the vertical pattern design that I noted.

I could be totally off track with this one, but hope this is of some help. Nice pitcher though, but will see what else comes up during my search. :)

Since its utilitarian tableware I cannot be of much help only to say its in all probability 30s. Floral overlay on glass can be found into the 1960s by Silver City on blanks made in the 60s so design style is not a good indicator of age, however in the case of this pitcher & it being a rather straight forward button floral bordering design...that was popular in the U.S. in the 30s. Nice older jug/pitcher.

Hi Otis & Ohio,
Thanks for your help. If I learn anything I'll post. I'm usually pretty good at research, but this one has me stumped, & it is just such a pretty & well made piece of glass.
Best,
Nancy
